Europe is one of the most densely populated regions in the world. Unlike many other parts of the planet, however, European population is fairly evenly distributed throughout the territory of the continent. More and more cities have multimillion population and gradually „absorb“ closer settlements. Cities are connected to each other via excellent infrastructure and regular transport links. This new form of urban unit is typical of the 20 and 21st century and is called agglomeration. It is a typical phenomenon in more developed parts of the world. Here we have compiled a list of 10 biggest cities (or rather the 10 largest urban agglomerations) in Europe.
