Great Barrier Reef is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. It occupies a huge protected area, home to tens of thousands of rare sea creatures.The approximate age of the reef is about 10,000 years. The approximate area is 348 698sq.km. It stretches about 2030 km. along the northeastern coast of Queensland, Australia. It is believed that the hundreds of reefs are built up from between 350 and 400 different species of corals.
