Mallorca (Majorca) is the biggest of the Balearic Islands. This is very important tourist destination, that offers a huge variety of natural and anthropological landmarks. Mallorca possesses incredible white sandy beaches with clean, limpid sea waters. The coastal area offers lush and green subtropical vegetation, feeding up by the abundant rainfall during the winter months. Mallorca has vast plains and picturesque mountains, covered by beautiful Mediterranean forest. The coastal area can offer to its visitors beautiful hotels and villas.
Mallorca climate and weather. Mallorca enjoys mild Mediterranean climate with long, hot and dry summers and 
short, mild winters. As a whole the average temperatures are around 10 - 15°C in January and 25 °C in July and August. In sunny winter days temperature can reaches to about 20°C. In these days you can truly forget the month is January. In December and February temperatures reach around 14 - 16°C. These are the coldest months in Mallorca. In fact the winter weather on this beautiful island is very nice. Despite the weather is not suitable for swimming in the sea, you can spend great your winter holidays. Climate conditions are perfect for long walks in the interior of the island and its forest. Snowcover is possible into the mountains because of the bigger altitude and more rarely on the coast. But generally winter is maybe the best time of the year for long walks and excursions. You can use the cool (but not cold) weather to get to know the interior of the island, 
where you can find picturesque villages that are far away of the world famous resorts. Mallorca's winter is very nice not only because of the cool and fresh weather, but also and because of the calmness that can offer you this Mediterranean paradise. In December, January and February the island is crowdless and you can enjoy to its beauty undesturbed. In March the weather is warmer. Spring is coming and the temperatures somethimes can reach 20 °C during the day, but usually are around 17 °C.
The spring weather is too cool for beach, but perfect for long walks and out door activities. The days are already sunnier. In April the weather is warm, but some days are hot. The sea water is still cool, but there are already people on 
the beach. Usually the daily temperature is around 19°C, but at noon it can reaches to about 25 °C. Transitional seasons are short. Spring begins in March and lasts just a month. Spring finishes in April and you can feel the comming summer. The first hot summer month is May. The average daily temperatures are 22 °C, but easily can reach to about 30 °C. The weather is perfect for summer tourism. The sea water is warm enough for swimming. The beaches are not crowded yet and the local people can enjoy the perfect conditions undisturbed. June is the driest month in Mallorca. The weather is hot and precipitations are rare. The temperatures are between 25 and 30 °C. The weather is July and August is hot. The temperatures are around 30 °C. In some days can reach 40 °C. The beaches are crowded and the island is full of people. This is the main tourist season in Mallorca. September is similar of June with temperatures between 25 and 30 °C. The weather can be very hot. Precipitations are 
more significant than in June. October is the last summer month in Mallorca. The temperatures are 23 – 25 °C. The beaches are uncrowded but the sea water is still warm – around 21 °C. In November begins the autumn. This is the rainiest month on the island.
Majorca has a deeply indented coast. There are no long and endless beaches, but small and charm bays with fine white sand that makes the
water to be clean and transparent. In these small bays the water is almost ever calm. These beaches can be used more than six months per year. In the southern part of the island is located the biggest city – Palma de Mallorca. This is the capital of the island. Its population is more than 500 000 people. This is the reason for the crowded beaches in the southern part of the island. More crowdless beaches you can find far away of Palma, in the northern part of the island. In the northern and north-western part of Mallorca, except for the deserted beaches 
you can find also wild and unspoiled nature. The mountains in the north are named Sierra de Tramontana. There are not many places in Europe, where sea, mountains and forest to merge into one. The northern part of Majorca with its fascination has attracted a lot of Hollywood stars. This is maybe the best place to find calmness and security far away of the modern civilization and chaos. Here you can feel the atmosphere of Old Europe. The air is fresh and the song of the birds is everywhere. In the mountains you can find freshness in the subtropical summer heat. In the last few years Majorca is especially attractive for Germans that wish to find better climate and Mediterranean lifestyle. They come here to live, work and 
rest. The differences between Germany and Majorca are great. The life in Germany is dynamic, while in Majorca the people have enough time to relax and enjoy the good things.
When you arrive in this Mediterranean paradise, you will see that the biggest part of the population live in big villas with swimming pools. The locals like the comfortable and luxury lifestyle. They usually begin the day with a cup of coffee and newspaper in some of the many cafes, under the shadow of some date palm, on some of the wide square that are 
so typical for the Spanish cities. At noon is time for light lunch – usually sea food and fresh vegetables. In the hottest part of the day everybody try to find freshness somewhere. The life dies away for few hours. In the late afternoon the people swarm on the streets again. This is the liveliest part of the day. The sun sets over the Mediterranean and the heat is already gone away.
