endless. Maybe the forest missing is blemish, but don’t forget that you have to take few steps to the sea, no matter where on the islands you are. The beaches are mainly small, covered by light sand or small pebbles. The pebbles are typical on the Mediterranean coasts. The sea water is incredible limpid and clean with azure nuances. Especially, when we talk about La Valetta that is the biggest treasure-house for architecture landmarks on the island. The first that you will see is the yellow and beige nuances of the Maltese houses. The reason is that the rocks on the island are colored in the same nuances. This help to the Maltese streets to be more shinning and friendly. The biggest part of the windows, are shaded by venetian blinds. In this climate conditions, this is really compulsory. In many places on the streets you can see red telephone boxes that are similar to these in United Kingdom. And this is not fortuity – to the 21st of September 1964, Malta is part of Great Britain. The British influence can be felt in every part of the island. The architecture radiates authority and seriousness. And if you combine the British and the Mediterranean culture the result is Malta. If you visit the United Kingdom, you will see the two levels busses, named
Doubledecker as well as the old yellow busses in Malta. These busses are very old but for the Maltese they are not just means of conveyance, but much more. They are one old and charm tradition. That is one real architecture masterpiece and undoubtedly is one of the most beautiful cathedrals on the Mediterranean coast. In this beautiful island you can see what is mean Mediterranean lifestyle. The Maltese usually have lunch with fruits, vegetables and sea food. The hottest part of the day is usually used for long repose. The hot, subtropical climate requires that. The streets are liveliest early in the morning and in the late afternoon
when the sun is setting and do not shining so strong. For the tourists the best way to complete the day is diner in some of the traditional Mediterranean restaurants around the coast.
