Palm Mar is a small but rapidly growing tourist town.
The settlement is situated in a small and narrow valley that descends from the interior of the island to the Atlantic coast.
Resembling a small and shallow canyon, the valley is surrounded by bare and dry not very high volcanic slopes.
One of the attractions is the entrance of the village.
This is a large whitewashed arch over the road with an inscription “Palm Mar”.
The city has a population of nearly 2,000 inhabitants.
The clean air, lovely year-round spring-like weather and proximity to the sea make Palm Mar peaceful and pleasant place not only to spend your holiday but also to live.
Almost the whole of the settlement area is built up with hotels, apartments or holiday villas, most of them with large swimming pools.
The resort town enjoys a good quality infrastructure, and the streets are dotted with thousands of palm trees.
The town has a large beach, which is mostly covered with small gray or black volcanic pebbles.
The coast offers a beautiful panoramic view of Los Cristianos to the north.
The biggest landmark in Palm Mar, however, is the small turret that was built of graphite gray volcanic rock on the shore of the ocean.
