Weather in Mallorca [in June]

Mallorca beach in June

June is the second summer month in Mallorca. With temperatures of around 26 – 27°C during the day and 18 – 19°C during the night, it offers perfect conditions for a summer holiday. The weather is more sunny, warm and stable compared to May but still not as hot as in July and August. The average daytime temperature gradually increases, and during the third decade of June are possible temperatures of over 30°C. The mountains traditionally experience lower temperatures.

The weather in June is dry and clear with only about 2 rainy days over the period. Although the rainfall is only between 10 and 15 mm on average, intense rainfalls accompanied by thunder and lightening are still possible.

However, the likelihood of this happening is low, and moderate short summer precipitations are far more likely to occur.

During the last 1/3 of the month are the longest days of the year. From 21 to 30 June, the sun sets in approximately 9:21pm.

June offers excellent conditions for swimming, diving and other water sports. The sea is calm, quiet and pleasantly warm, and the average sea surface temperature is around and over 21°C.

Most beaches, especially in close proximity to the big resorts of Mallorca, are crowded with tourists, but there are still some very quiet, isolated corners to enjoy clean balmy water, fine sand and warm subtropical sun.

At noon the sun’s rays are too strong, so it is advisable to be very careful if you are at the beach.

It is advisable also to choose the early hours of the day (before 10 o’clock a.m.) or in the late afternoon (after 5 o’clock p.m.) when the sun is less harmful.
