Eurovision 2026 Grand Final in Vienna: Bulgaria Wins and Sofia to Host Next Year

On May 16, 2026, the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 took place in Vienna, bringing together artists and fans from across Europe for one of the world’s biggest live music events. 

The final was held at the Wiener Stadthalle arena and attracted around 10,000 spectators in attendance, while millions more watched the broadcast worldwide.  

The winner of Eurovision 2026 was DARA from Bulgaria with the song “Bangaranga.” Her performance received a total of 516 points, securing Bulgaria’s first-ever Eurovision victory in the history of the competition.  

According to Eurovision tradition, the winning country becomes the host of the next edition of the contest. As a result, the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest is expected to be hosted in Sofia. Bulgarian media and officials have already celebrated the victory as a historic cultural moment for the country.  

The event in Vienna was also notable for its impressive production, colorful performances, and strong international interest. Organizers estimated that more than 100 million viewers followed the show globally.
