Alicante, Spain – 3 April 2026

The seaside city of Alicante is already slipping into a summer mood, as unusually pleasant spring weather has drawn large crowds to its beaches at the very start of April.

On April 3, locals and visitors alike took advantage of bright sunshine and mild temperatures, filling the coastline in scenes more typical of early summer than early spring.

While the official high season is still weeks away, the atmosphere along the shore suggested that the beach season may have effectively begun.

According to weather reports, the Easter weekend brought clear skies, rising temperatures and light coastal breezes, creating ideal conditions for outdoor activities and seaside relaxation.

Temperatures during these days reached around 23-25°C / 73-77°F, encouraging many people to head straight to the beach.

Local sources note that the city had already prepared for an influx of visitors ahead of the Easter holidays, with lifeguards, beach bars, sunbeds and other services activated early across the main beaches. This early readiness reflects expectations of a strong tourist season.

Tourism indicators confirm the trend. Increased travel activity and high hotel occupancy forecasts suggest that Alicante is entering a busy period earlier than usual, supported by favorable weather and holiday travel.

Climatologically, April in Alicante typically offers mild spring conditions, with average highs around 20-21°C / (68-70°F) and plenty of sunshine.

However, this year’s early April warmth appears to have accelerated the seasonal shift, drawing beachgoers sooner than expected.

While sea temperatures remain relatively cool, the sight of crowded sands and sunbathers signals a clear message: in Alicante, summer doesn’t always wait for the calendar.
